What is a Playback Pack?
The Playback Pack is a collection of visual worship elements containing 30 motions (each in HD, SD and Triple Wide resolutions) and 40 still images (each in a single screen and Triple Wide resolution). Each Playback Pack is shipped on a 4GB brushed metal flash drive. It recommended to load the content from the Playback Packs onto your Playback Drive or other visual worship library before playing the videos back within your presentation software. It is Mac & PC compatible. All of the visuals on the Playback Pack are compatible with every major presentation software.
What is the Playback Drive?
The PlaybackTM Drive is a hard drive that is shipped with content already on the hard drive for you to use in your events or video productions such as worship services, DVD’s or video pieces, announcements or whatever needs your organization has for stock video playback. This drive was designed for anyone who needs video content. The actual hard drive itself is not a Playback Media drive, however we are an authorized reseller of the Other World Computing Mercury Elite, which we have stood by for many years and continue to do so. Who are the producers of the Playback Drive?
The PlaybackTM Drive is a product of Orange Thread Media, however the content on the actual drive is a partnership of Orange Thread Media, worshipVJ and Visual Worshiper. You will find each selection of content on the hard drive separated by who created each visual piece.

How long will it take until I get my Playback Drive?
Please allow 5-7 business days to process your PlaybackTM Drive, although if drives are in stock, your order may be processed earlier. Each hard drive has to be loaded with content and packaged before being shipped. Standard shipping usually takes 3-5 business days. Do I have to keep the video files and images on this exact drive?
No. That’s the joy of having such a reliable drive like the OWC Mercury Elite. It’s just like any other hard drive you own, the content just was shipped on there. You are welcome to move the content to any other hard drive, as well as put anything else you would like on your PlaybackTM Drive. Please make sure you back up your content before you delete anything. We are not responsible for the loss of content unfortunately.
Are you offering other sizes from the 500GB Playback Drive?
Of course!! When you click the “Buy” link at the top of this page, or the “Pre-Order” or “Buy One” buttons on the other pages, you will be taken to the checkout terminal. Here you will have the option to upgrade to a 1 TB or 2 TB hard drive. As well, you can upgrade to add the FireWire 800 and eSata connections if you would like to. Additional costs may be incurred.
What if I already own some of this content? Do I get a discount?
Unfortunately at this time we are only offering a complete package. We cannot extend any discounts for users who already own a selection of this content. We are very sorry for any inconveniences.
I don’t need the hard drive, can I just purchase the content?
Unfortunately at this time we are only offering a complete package and not selling the hard drive or content separately. Therefore we are not able to offer a package of just the content on the drive. A good amount of the content on this drive can be found and purchased individually at other online digital stores.
How do I get my FREE video clip each month?
After purchasing a PlaybackTM Drive, you will have the choice to join our mailing list. Once you are a member of the mailing list, each month we will send out a link that is exclusively for those who are members of this list. Order Status
When will my Playback Pack ship?
Playback Packs should ship immediately after ordering. During certain busy seasons, Playback Packs may take 24 hours to ship. Feel free to contact our team for more information.
When will my Playback Drive ship?
Being that the PlaybackTM Drive is a hard drive that Playback Media adds specific content to, we must first load all the content prior to shipment. For this reason some drives may take 2-4 days before they ship depending on inventory. If you need any more information, please feel free to email us at info@playbackmedia.com
How do I find out my tracking number?
Your PlaybackTM Drive is shipped via FedEx and a tracking number should be emailed to the email address you used when you checked out. If for some reason you did not receive that number, please email us at info@playbackmedia.com. We would be more than willing to send your tracking number again.
Can I ship on a FedEx account?
Yes. If you have a FedEx account that you would prefer to pay shipping on, please call our offices at (615) 752-4119 and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
It has been two weeks and my Playback Drive still hasn’t arrived, what do I do?
The PlaybackTM Drive takes 5-7 business days to process and another 3-5 business days depending on location to ship your drive. If it has taken longer than the allotted time and you still have not received your product, please call our offices at (615) 752-4119 and have your order number ready. We apologize for any inconvenience ahead of time.

I need help placing my order. Who can I talk to?

Can I pay by check? I don't see that option online?
Yes. You may pay by check, however we will not be able to ship the product until we receive your check. In order to pay by check, please send your full amount made out to Orange Thread Media, LLC to the following address. Please include a printed copy of the “buy” page on this site as a way to ensure details of your purchase are fulfilled. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call (615) 752-4119.

Why was my credit card declined?
Be sure to check the following items if your credit card was denied:
- Make sure that you have entered your 16-digit credit card number correctly (without dashes)
- Make sure that the card you are using has not expired
- Make sure you are entering the correct security code from the back of your card.
I didn’t get a confirmation email back, what do I do?
If for some reason you did not receive your confirmation email, please send an email with the following information toinfo@playbackmedia.com

I see three different hard drive options, is the content the same on all the drives?
Yes, The content is the exact same on every drive sold. The only difference is the fact that you have more space with which to play.
Technical Support
My Playback Pack won't work, What do I do?
If your product was defective when it arrived, please send it back to us. We will reimburse all standard ground shipping costs. Please email us at info@playbackmedia.com with a note that you are returning a dead Playback Pack. We’ll send you a new Pack as soon as we get the defective one. If you wish to be reimbursed for your shipping costs, please include any receipts in your package or email a scanned receipt. Reimbursement will arrive, with the newly shipped product. We are extremely apologetic for the inconvenience this may have caused
Can I use my Playback Pack for something other than storing videos/images?
Absolutely! We don't limit your use of the actual flash drive in any way (aside from space limitations of the physical flash drive). Feel free to delete the content (this is where we have to remind you to back up your content) and put any file you wish on the flash drive. It's your flash drive, use it!
We've already heard of a many people using the flash drive for the following purposes:
- Transferring video files from one computer to another.
- Sending song sheets to a co-worker to copy or print.
- Store files a worship team may use every week.
- and many more!
My Playback Drive stopped working, who do I contact?
The hard drive itself is an OWC Mercury Elite AL-Pro and your hard drive will be repaired and/or serviced by Other World Computing. Therefore, in the event of a drive failure, you will need to fill out the information on this page and submit it for an RMA. You will then be emailed your return information.
The OWC Mercury Elite Hard Drive warranty covers repair or replacement of the physical components only. They cannot guarantee a prevention of data loss. Please back up any data prior to sending the unit in for repair or replacement. If a simple transferring of the data is not possible due to total failure of the drive, we do recommend Drive Savers for Multi-platform Data Recovery. They can be contacted at (800) 440-1904. My Playback Drive was broken when it arrived, what do I do?
If your product was defective when it arrived, please send it back to us. We will reimburse all standard ground shipping costs. Please email us at info@playbackmedia.com with a note that you are returning a dead hard drive. We’ll send you a new drive as soon as we get your drive back.
If you wish to be reimbursed for your shipping costs, please include any receipts in your package or email a scanned receipt. Reimbursement will arrive, with the newly shipped product.
Does the OWC Mercury Elite have a warranty?

If I reformat my Playback Drive will I lose my content?
Unfortunately when you format a hard drive, all the data is lost during the process. We would highly recommend backing up all your data prior to a reformatting. We are not responsible for any data loss.
Why doesn’t my Playback Drive work on my Window’s computer?
The minimum requirements for the PlaybackTM Drive is Windows XP service pack 2 or greater. If for some reason you are not able to see the PlaybackTM Drive when you plug it into your computer try these things first:
- Plug in the hard drive directly to the computer (not through another drive) via Firewire.
- Plug the hard drive directly into the computer via USB.
- Make sure there is a blue light on the front of the hard drive. If there is not one, please send us an email at info@playbackmedia.com
