The Playback Drive and the Playback Packs are both a product of Orange Thread Media.
Every great story has a humble beginning. The year was 2007. The location was Belmont University’s Conference Room. Luke McElroy, founder, never expected what would have come of this meeting. This was the beginning of Orange Thread Media.
Belmont University was planning their 5th showcase for the season and the student producer leading this endevor commissioned McElroy to “push the envelope” with video and try something brand new. With a few ideas in the back of his head, McElroy called on a good friend Tyler Hirth to pull off this never before done production with a non-existent production. They lost over $500 over the course of the two day event but decided there was a great opportunity ahead to design and implement unique and creative multi-screen video walls.
Several years later and a better grasp on budgeting, McElroy has grown Orange Thread Media to much more than just a live events company. Today, Orange Thread Media specilizes in motion background (including loops, stock footage, countdowns and mini-movies), custom graphics, 3D animation and of course turn key live event production. As a pioneer in their industry you can see their work traveling across the country with clients such as Eli Young Band, Big Stuf Camps, Jeremy Camp and many more.
Recently Orange Thread Media has released the innovative Playback Drive, the first plug-and-play visual media library. The Playback Drive is a 500GB external hard drive that contains over 320 worship visuals designed to help churches all across the world take visual worship to the next level.
